You see, people think that lightning strikes as a unique bolt but that is not true; it comes as several paths and some carry only little energy. That's why some people survive a lightning's trike going through their body. But, to come back to your oil line, you should first find out why it is working as a receptor then see how you can prevent it to be dangerous. Covering it won't help. Earthing is will help but then, it will also invite lightning. I have the same problem with the mast of my sailboat. Statistics show that if lightning is to strike within a radius equal to the heigth of my mast, it will hit it. Q. I know that some MMA organisations do allow fighters to use elbow strikes on a downed opponent, but what about the UFC? My friend says they banned them, but I'm pretty sure I'v seen pretty recent fights where fighters have utilised elbows on the ground (Tito Vs Shamrock 2 and 3 for example) Is my friend right?
