How can Democrats be anti-corporation but pro-Federal Reserve?
Q. That doesn't make any sense. Corporations at least have to make their money by doing business (dishonest or not). The Fed just creates it out of thin air. You think an entity that simply creates money is more altruistic than any giant corporation? Liberal logic No, the Fed isn't reviving the economy, it is ruining it

Is the corporation "Hollister Co" ant-Christian or anti-God?
Q. Some of my Christian friends have gotten upset with my wearing Hollister brand clothing saying that that company is anti-God and anti-Christian. Is this true?

A. here is why: Hollister is a brand of Abercrombie and Finch. bob jones university, a conservative christian college has banned abercrombie and finch clothing from their campus because "Abercrombie & Fitch and its subsidiary Hollister have shown an unusual degree of antagonism to the name of Christ and an unusual display of wickedness in their promotions. Why do leftists claim to be anti-monopoly while favoring expanding the biggest monopoly?
Q. The biggest monopoly obviously is the organization called government that (at the bare minimum) claims a monopoly on defense and which funds itself by taking money from people without their consent (through extortion, which it refers to as taxation). This entity is also the same one that is the only entity capable of creating a monopoly (which it can do by subsidizing a business, outlawing competition to a favored business, or granting that business a "right" to forms of imaginary "property" such as copyright and patents). The government has also invented the legal fiction of a corporation so that some businesses can escape liability for their debts and subsidized the creation of businesses that produce the weapons used by governments to… [cont.]

A. It is time for another Tea Party if you know what I mean. I am also frustrated with the taxation without representation. Oh both sides say they represent us but in fact they represent their favorite special interest group. Eric helping others by hurting me is not only wrong it is illegal. The government is not granted that right by the constitution. Nowhere in that forgotten document does it give the government the right to take my property (money is property)for any project that they deam worthy. They are allowed to take tax for defense, public safety, and infrastructure but not to give to people who have no ambition, are here illegally, or are in Africa suffering from AIDS.

Is there any way a government or corporation could reverse-activate my laptop camera/microphone to spy on me?
Q. Is there any way to breach a firewall for this purpose? Do you think the Patriot Act would allow the government to work with corporations like Hewlit Packard Pavilion or Symantec to figure out both the technology and the anti-firewall stuff etc to get this done??? I heard there was a worm that could use macro or whatever to activate webcam and broadcast it to other ISP or IM screenname. Plausible?

There has to be a reason because, well...it just wouldn't pay the price of emission. Why would they want to spy on you? Are you some sorta wanted fugitive or something? :P Heh this question reminds me of that movie Eagle Eye. :)

What do Americans think of independent presidential candidate-Ralph Nader?
Q. I really respect the guy. True patriot. I love his anti nafta arguments and his anti corporation monopoly stance. He is against the WTO aswell. A. I agree with the asker. This is a true grass-roots campaign, which has been largely ignored by the media, yet is achieving real results. If we stick to the two party democracy - there is no real choice. Both Democrats and Republicans have similar policies and both are corrupt. One thing you can say about Nader is that he never gives in and has forced some concessions from whoever is in power. His website is inspiring people to get active in politics and begin to fight for an alternative (see sources). If you look at the clickable map of America on the website, it gives a glimpse of what the campaign has had to do, just to get on the ballot paper in a predicted 45 states. A. Personally, I feel sorry for the BBC. They are yelled at no matter what they do with politics. If they give the BNP an airing, they are being racist, or supporting racism. If they do not, then they are shunning the BNP. I have heard the BNP on the BBC, and I think that the coverage they give on the whole is fair and impartial (remember they came 8th in the 2005 elections). I think that complaints made to the BBC about coverage of the BNP go against the spirit of a free and fair democracy.

Why do people break windows during the G20 summit?
Q. 4 businesses 2 blocks from my house had their windows broken in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh. I understand the importance of the right to protest but come on guys; go break windows in your own neighborhood. Why would someone do this? And what kind of even remotely relevant protest does this signify? Please don't bore me with the standard anti-big corporation and it's all the governments fault answer. Nothing wrong with protestation, when warranted, which it is in this case to an extent, but it seems to me this is going too far.

The protesters (not the same as rioters) are there for legitimate purposes (Darfur, TIbet, etc...) and for the most part are peaceful. The Anarchists, as the name implies want disorder and anarchy, they don't care for anything other than breaking windows, pushing dumpsters into police barricades and causing damage to private property. These @$$#@7$ are nothing but snotty suburban kids that want to make a show for their buddies to post on youtube to make themselves look tough... This lifestyle can be contrasted with the other extreme - where consumption and material possesion drive the lives. What can I do to fight back against the rising stream of anti-pet (pet biggotted) landlords?
Q. Especially in the category of dogs. I'm positive that anyone's kids do greater damage than my amicable, lazy german shepard, but we are perpetually discriminated upon by landlords whom set unrealistic and unbased restrictions against breeds and weights. These landlords and corporations are the scum of the earth and should weigh potential tenants on credit scores and references, not antiquated forms of discrimination. In this case, blatant pet biggotry.
Asked by Jjz_Nn - Wed Jun 27 22:44:21 2007 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Your only choice is to buy a house, then you will understand the reason why if you are paying for the damages. I am a landlord, but would consider a german shepard if renting a house, I just add an additional monthly fee for the dog, plus unfront charge for damages of $100. And I agree with you, kids cause damage, but so do dogs. LL cannot ban kids, but they can animals. In my case I look at each pet that the tenant has. Certain breeds of dogs are out of the question because my insurance company says they will not cover costs if they are owned by the tenant. Such dogs like pit bulls, Chows, etc. are banned due to their aggressive behavior. It is not that the landlord is biggot against animals, is that laws, insurance companies, and… [cont.]

Do you agree that anti-trust laws should be abolished?
Q. Ron Paul does. Paul has stated that he believes the government has no business getting involved in the right to contract. This would mean Paul supports a corporation's right to fix prices and monopolize markets; that workers need no assistance from government when bargaining for wages or benefits; that labor laws be struck off the books as they are an inference in said right to contract; that all health and safety laws be done away with as to allow a person the right to contract away his health and safety it it suits him or her. Are these the kind of freedoms you really want? If so, Ron Paul will give them to you and plenty more.
Asked by Steve C - Thu Aug 23 04:33:46 2007 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The problem is, people are sheep. Yes, that's insulting -- but sadly, it's also true. The govt steps in to protect people because far too often, people are unwilling to take the steps necessary to protect themselves. This is one of the few areas that Ron Paul's platform actually does overlap the Libertarian platform -- but while it's a great idea in theory, it's another case where a lot of people would get hurt if they were given the freedom that this model entails.

A. Your friend is wrong. It just doesn't work that way... I also would not install the software that your friend gave you... you don't know if it's a cracked version, which is illegal, it may also have been tampered with maliciously, plus there are many fake anti-spyware programs that try to trick you into installing them. If super anti-spyware professional is the software you want get it directly from the company.I don't know anything about the product personally so I can't advise. In my opinion the best anti spyware product out is Spybot - search and destroy. and it's free for personal use.
